JOBS

Culpeper County Parks and Recreation Department is always looking for new and exciting programs & instructors. If you have an idea for a program &/or are willing to teach as an instructor, please contact Tabitha Riley at triley@culpepercounty.gov or 540-727-3412. ext 5.

Programs needing instructors include, but are not limited to:

  • pre-school & toddler programs
  • photography
  • fitness / self defense
  • gymnastics (preschool & school age)
  • environmental education /  nature activities
  • cooking
  • and many more!
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are an integral part of the Parks and Recreation Department. Citizens like yourself volunteer their time to teach classes, help with special events, work at the parks helping with gardening and maintenance, and much, much more.

In Fiscal year 2007 (July 2006-June 2007) the Department was excited to receive 3,966 hours volunteered by the community. These volunteers saved the department $79,320.00.

Internship Opportunities


Culpeper County Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to offer internship opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students in the recreation, leisure services, parks or turf management curriculum of an accredited school, university or college; as well as with agencies whose purpose is to provide useful, hands-on and valuable work experience for their clients.


Our aim is to provide individuals with opportunities to prepare for, start and maintain employment in the recreation, leisure services, parks and turf management professions.
