OPTIONS was started in 1994 to serve local juvenile offenders of a serious and chronic nature. In 1995, OPTIONS moved in the old Pearl Sample farmhouse. Currently OPTIONS focuses on youth having behavioral issues at home, in school, or having legal issues. The services offered through OPTIONS are designed to reach youth before they become entangled in negative peer relationships, substance abuse, or criminal behavior by reducing their risk levels.
Assess youth and work in collaboration with other community agencies in providing services designed to reduce the risk of youth getting into further trouble with the legal system, school or with substance abuse; while at the same time encouraging them to become productive, respectful, and responsible members of the community.
